From Corporate to Community: The Story Behind Toast & Table

Stacy and Amanda spent over a decade working together in a corporate office and checked every box. Yet, despite their accomplishments, they both felt a growing tug toward something more fulfilling; something with purpose. Fueled by their shared passion for food, creativity, and community, they decided to take a leap. That leap became Toast & Table, a business that beautifully blends heart, hospitality, and hands-on learning.
Stacy, with her deep love for cooking, and Amanda, with her talent for visual storytelling and design, combined their strengths to create more than just a retail space. Toast & Table is a culinary experience. Nestled in the heart of Downtown O’Fallon, the store offers high-quality, safe, and fun kitchen supplies, hands-on cooking classes led by professional chef, and a warm, welcoming environment that makes everyone feel at home. Their blog and signature “Toasty Tips” add a personal, educational touch that keeps their customers engaged well beyond the storefront.
When asked why they chose O’Fallon, their answer was simple yet powerful. After extensive research and countless walks through the charming downtown area, they knew they’d found their place. “O’Fallon is progressing so quickly and has so much foot traffic. We fell in love with the space – it’s everything we wanted,” Stacy shared.
Since opening, Stacy and Amanda have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of community support. What started as a dream has blossomed into a loyal customer base some of whom stop in weekly just to say hello, browse, or sign up for a new class. Toast & Table quickly became a staple in the O’Fallon-Shiloh Chamber of Commerce and an active participant in Downtown District meetings, often collaborating with other local businesses.
Their journey into entrepreneurship was immediately met with encouragement from their new business community. Before Toast & Table had even fully furnished their storefront, fellow downtown business Courage and Grace purchased Toast & Table’s first cooking class, showing what kind of support system existed within their new circle.
Today, when asked to describe Toast & Table in just a few words, Stacy and Amanda didn’t hesitate: “Meaningful and Inspirational.” They didn’t just leave the corporate world behind, they stepped into a community-driven life where their passion for food and connection could shine.
For those looking to fall in love with the kitchen, find a new creative outlet, or simply be a part of something special, Toast & Table isn’t just a business. It’s a destination for learning, laughter, and love one cooking class at a time.
